I HAVE NEVER PLAYED SOFTBALL / DON'T KNOW THE RULES - CAN I STILL JOIN?
Absolutely! While knowing some of the rules can be an asset, it is not mandatory. No experience is necessary and we’ll teach you everything you need to know. Most of our new players have never played organized softball before, so you won’t be alone.
I DON’T THINK I’M ATHLETIC ENOUGH TO PLAY SOFTBALL?
You don’t need to be super athletic to join! We have players of all ages, body types, and skill levels. One of the great things about softball is that there’s a position for everyone—we’ll help you find the one that fits you best!
WHAT IS THE COST?
Our registration fee is $145.

WHEN DO YOU PLAY?
Our season runs from May to September. We play every Sunday (except on long weekends including pride weekend). Games are played either at 10:00am, 12:00pm or at 2:00pm. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early so that we can start our games on time.
WHERE DO YOU PLAY?
We play at Riverdale Park West on Diamonds 1, 3 and 4. In special cases, like rainouts or unplayable field conditions, we may relocate to Coronation Park. If that happens, we’ll give players plenty of notice about the change.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
All you need is a baseball glove! Cleats aren’t required, but we highly recommend them for better traction on the diamonds. We’ll provide all other equipment, including bats, balls, and helmets.
I WANT TO BE ON THE SAME TEAM AS MY FRIEND OR PARTNER - CAN I MAKE A REQUEST?
Absolutely! On the registration form, you can request to be placed on a team with up to TWO other people. Just make sure the request is mutual—everyone must list each other’s names when signing up. We do our best to accommodate requests, but also prioritize creating balanced and inclusive teams. One of the best parts of our league is meeting new people and mixing skill levels. Thanks for helping us keep that spirit alive!
DO YOU HAVE A COVID-19 POLICY?
The Notso Amazon Softball League remains committed to limiting the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne transmissible viruses. If you're not feeling well, please stay home. If you or someone in your household is showing symptoms of COVID-19 (such as sore throat, cough, fever, runny nose, or loss of taste), we kindly ask that you stay home and notify your team rep about your absence as soon as possible. If you test positive in the week leading up to a game, we ask that you be symptom-free and test negative before returning to play.
CAN I SIGN UP NOW?
Registration for each season opens in February, on the Sunday prior to Family Day, and generally stays open until we reach league capacity. Our 2025 season is already underway but we are always accepting players to join our waitlist by clicking here! We'll reach out if a spot opens up.
